::Not sure why, but I expected more from this seemingly German place. Everywhere you look, there are posters and signs "decorating" the place with the Warsteiner beer brand, and the menu when includes a "-----wurst" section. But, for some inexplicable reason, the rest of the menu is more American BBQ place, than German. So, with that in mind, I skipped the wursts and went for the most American dish on the menu (save for the burgers): 800g of BBQ ribs and chicken wings resting on a pile of fried potato chips. Sadly, I expected too much, apparently; the ribs were undercooked, and the winds and fries were cold (even though that was the only got dish we ordered to the table, so it's not like it was sitting in the kitchen, waiting to be brought out with the rest of the dishes). For dessert they only had two options - Bavarian Cream and some kind of a Peach cake. Again, nothing too German there. We had the cream, which was good, but not amazing. (the bottom was even slightly burnt, though my partner likes it that way, so I guess that was a good thing). In short, if you want good German food, go to Die Alte Lampe. If you want good American food, go to Smuggler's.
