  Definitely the greatest location there is if you are visiting Bulgaria and want to stay in Sofia. If you own a driving license you can rent a car for less than 20 bucks a day. On the other hand if you don't have a driving license you can just purchase an unlimited transportation ticket for less than 15 bucks. Everything is going to be within the reach of your hand. The architecture is stunning as well. If you can afford it don't even think about it..!

  Sad really. A very nice location and excellent staff. The hotel in general is very tired. The dining rooms have been excellently updated but the rooms themselves are yet to be done. The main issue is hygienic and presentation. Lack of pillow protectors, stains on washed sheets and mattress protectors, mildew on shower curtain. Easy things to fix to make a stay clean and 100% pleasant.

  I like staying at the Balkin as it has friendly staff, 24 hour fitness facility, good breakfasts, and nice beds. The recent updates to the lobby floor areas have also been a refreshing change. The location makes it very easy to walk tram, or tube throughout the city, but with so much shopping, parks, museums, historical sites, restaurants, etc... nearby, walking is my preference.

  The location is PERFECT! You walk out, and there's a beautiful cathedral before you. Lots of restaurants, shops, and cafes are just a couple minutes from the front door. The breakfast buffet is extensive and well-served. Parking is also rather easy. The look of the hotel is Old World Classic. It's supposed to look that way. If you want a new age, hyper-contemporary atmosphere, I suggest somewhere else. The service and professionalism is on a par with 5 star hotels. I would love to stay here again, and I'd highly recommend it to others.

  L'hotel è molto ampio lussuoso ed il personale in particolar modo disponibile professionale e gentile. Si trova al centro della capitale della Bulgaria di fronte alla stazione metro e con pochi passi tutte le principali aree turistiche sono accessibili. Immerso tra le rovine antiche della capitale e i monumenti dei vari stili è senz'altro un punto di interesse oltre che un punto per la permanenza. Il personale mostra una grande attenzione per gli ospiti cercando, dov'è possibile, di fare di tutto per soddisfare le esigenze specifiche . È privo di barriere architettoniche ed è accessibile in tutti i suoi locali anche per persone disabili che potranno trovare confort mischiato all lusso e l'umanità delle persone che lo gestiscono e che vi operano. Ideale per eventi internazionali. Il prezzo è ragionevoli.ssimo per un hotel a cinque stelle
