  Sofia City Court, district court, courthouse is an architectural monument. The courthouse is a building in Sofia. It was built as a monumental structure, located on 2 Vitosha Blvd., between Alabin, Lavele and Positano streets. The courthouse was conceived at the end of the 19th century and an international competition was held for it, won by the Bulgarian architect Nikola Lazarov, but the crisis war and post-war times postponed the implementation of the project. In 1928 the latter was redesigned by architect Pencho Koychev. The building was built in the period 1929 - 1940 with a built-up area of ​​8400 m2. Upon completion, it owned 640 rooms, 24 meeting rooms, 3 living rooms and 8 courtyards. The exterior architectural respect is respected for its monumentality and strict clean classical forms.
