::The chapel is the only one on the territory of Sofia, dedicated to St. John Chrysostom The idea for the construction of the chapel came from Mrs. Polya Stancheva when she was the director of the Bulgarian National Radio. The chapel was built with funds from the companies Nikmi AD and Kamex M AD. The murals in the church are the work of Yordana Koeva, who painted them as a student at the Academy of Arts in Sofia, majoring in murals, and is currently a doctoral student at the same department. The small church was completed and consecrated on May 27, 2008 by Bishop John of Znepol. Today our Orthodox Church celebrates the memory of St. John Chrysostom. On this occasion, His Eminence Bishop John of Znepol, Vicar of the Metropolitan of Sofia, celebrated a solemn water consecration. Archimandrite Gregory, Protosingle of the Sofia Metropolitanate, Archpriest Kiril Popov, Deacon Ivan Petkov and Mr. Andrey Kasabov, Secretary of the Metropolitanate, took part in the ceremony. The festive water dedication was attended by the Director General of the Bulgarian National Radio Mr. Valeriy Todorov, the Executive Director Mr. Yordan Naidenov.
