  I was not really happy in this hotel. The first impression when I entered my room was a bad smell of the bathroom. That disgusting smell known from the cheapest (not clean) guest houses. Hotel room should smell nice! Second, I don't like the position, it's not really close to the city center. Third, the view out of my window is depressing. Fourth, the fridge in my room is very noisy and never stops cooling unless I plug it out. Fifth, the breakfast was very average. Last but not least, the staff is not really pleasant. I am very surprised that this hotel is rated Fantastic on Booking.

  We have been coming here several years . The hotel is perfect . The everyone is very welcoming caring and helpful it is a real personal experience . The food the cleanliness the comfort is very high standard . We feel it's like being at home . New year's Eve is the best function we have ever been to .well planned the most fun filled night you will never forget . Without a doubt I would recommend this family run hotel as a first on any ones list. Well done contessa.

  Nice hotel in Shumen. The rooms are comfortable and warm. The restaurant is nice and the food is good with an extensive menu. The staff are very nice and if you not speak Bulgarian, many speak English :)
