  This is a two star apartment rental. The rooms allow smoking and the apartment reeked of cigarette smoke. The room we had was old and outdated. The "kitchen" was more of a kitchenette with no room to actually cook. There is an elevator and the area is pleasant if you are working in Lozenets. We were charged more than originally quoted for our room and when we checked out after 4 nights we were charged for 7 nights. I would not stay here again and would not recommend it.

  I had the opportunity to stay at Apartments Carrera for six months. It was one of the highlights of my trip to Bulgaria. The hosts are a pleasure and the front desk attendants are extremely helpful. Everyone speaks great English. Living in the neighborhood provides the opportunity to experience the local life as opposed to what you would find in the Hilton. The apartments are nicely appointed and offer much more space than a hotel room for less money.
