All I can say is that it is a small temple, even nice, but managed in a wrong way. There have been cases of people not allowed into because not usual worshippers and others asked to leave because not Orthodox Christian. I feel ashamed and wrote to the Bulgarian Bureau of Tourism, obviously without any response. Let’s figure out old Bulgaria when there was no freedom for any kind of cult. Looks like Sveta Petka remained stuck in the communist times. Never again!

There is lot of history to this place. When you first see it, it seems just like an ancient church, but just reading about it, you will see what a great piece of history you have in front of you. Take a little time and go inside. Worth it!

A very small, ancient church from the time of Constantine. The older part of the church is on the ground level and is just a small room. Upstairs you will find a small room with frescos and icons. It's fun to see and worth making a trip. Take all the photos you want for free.

This place is awesome! It is an old ortodox church and its very small but the whole place looks outstanding. It has very spiritual component, because people who are working there look like they are very into religion and on that base they are running the place. We enter for free 2 year ago, but I m not sure if this is now a case. Still, if there is some entrance fee it is worth to pay to get that feeling when walking trough this place.

A little church located outside the Serdica subway station. We couldn't enter the chapel, however the atmosphere you get waking around the area is really nice. There are ruins all along the underpass which are preserved really well.
