Magnificent building! Actually the biggest Sephardic Sinagogue in Europe. Dates back to 1909. Be careful as it is a bit aside of the main streets and you may miss it. Even some.of the locals never visited it. Still it is definitely one of the places to visit while in Sofia.

Sofia's sinagogue, the biggest seffard sinagogue in Europe. Very beautiful and impressive. You"ll need to pay 3 BNG at the entrance as charity (tzedaka). One of few public places in Sofia that entrance is not for free. It is working temple so visits available only between praires.

The second biggest synagogue in Europe. A host spends a few minutes to explain history of the place and the meaning of Hebraic symbols

A lovely synagogue in excellent condition. It was built in the early 1900s. Entry to all houses of worship in Sofia are free but when you enter they ask you to pay a small amount (about 3 leva / $1.95 a piece if I remember correctly) to enter the museum. They make it seem compensatory. For that price someone from the congregation will tell you all about the synagogue and you can ask questions. It is a very interesting story. Technically there is a small museum near the entrance and there are some things of interest to see. I recommend seeing this site.

Very beautiful outside and inside. You have to pay 3 Lev / person to enter inside. It's no clear how to enter, when you go to the main door you don't see nothing but a closed door. Open it or knock it and they will let you enter
