  Always great quality food. Once I forgot my wallet and the lady gave me my food anyway, telling me I can pay the next day. It was so nice of her to do that. Not all ladies who work there are as nice and friendly.

  Used to be a nice place for breakfast or lunch but lately food is poor to mediocre. Pity..

  Great food starts with great ingredients, but the magic happens when people make great food with not so great ingredients or exceptional food with great i gredients. Here you will find great ingredients, but not exceptional food. The bread is very good indeed, but prices for lunch menu and banitsa are a bit too high for what you get (especially charging 1.80 lv for a tiny baklava). Food is good, quality ingredients are used, but it lacks a character. There is a lot of potential here, still a couple steps away.

  If there is one diner spot in Sofia, which has consistently kept its food, interior and service quality high - this would be HleBar. For years now it has provided daily menus for breakfast and lunch with locally sourced ingredients and a basic 5-6 meals’ menu super tasty and wonderful. Parallel to the meals you can always find freshly baked sourdough bread.
